Thank you! Scoff didn't feel it was right to go for more, he optimised what he had and felt he was on the fringes with 262hp. To be honest that will do for me, with that power it still retains everyday driveability still.

Just kidding mate, driveable, usable and above all, dependable. Nothing can beat that!

I was considering selling my 9 the other month, if I did/do, the 172 IS getting a charger.

    But I probably won't.

It's actually laughable how much quicker yours is Ricky - That's nuts!

It's only when I watched the video a couple of times it sunk in the difference. I could believe how it just pulled away like it did in the clip

Fancied doing this to my 182 Cup when I had it. The standard package is so brilliant for a road going car, most mods in my opinion lose you as much as they gain for road use (unacceptable ride, narrower powerband etc) and never saw n/a tuning as acceptable value for money (too many years of remapping turbo cars :0)). But always wished it had 30-40 bhp more. Turbo would mean it would lose that immediacy of response which is one of the trade marks that makes the car so appealing. Always thought a later 197/200 engine would be perfect or a moderately boosted supercharger conversion. I'd love to see how it deploys the power, looks proper quick in that video :0).

Crazy to think over 80bhp and over 70ft/lbs more than a stock 182

Its a better engine than a 225 lump and that makes 260 bhp with a turbo if you look at it that way

@Ricardo@Ricardo do you know what make and/or model of supercharger it is?

I know it's a Rotrex supercharger but unsure of model number and pulley diameter Dave.
