    Hi to all

This was mrdini's car (rich) but he was persuaded to sell it to me!!
its now nearly ready for paint (2 weeks) so i will keep adding photos.
engine, gearbox, carb etc. have been rebuilt
any help would be appreciated as i have no clue what to do.
i have a local mechanic getting the engine in and mrdini has been persuaded again with alcohol to show us where everything goes!!
The colour is now going to be blue with black bumpers (sorry rich)!!

Cool! Can't wait to see more recent photos. I scrapped A775 NWT - it was abandoned. I bought it from a scrapyard, got it running and ragged about in it around my local industrial estate. Great fun! It was quite rotten, hence why I scrapped it.
Are you using the original Renix ignition? I have had troubles with mine so I am converting it to a Nodiz. If you're interested in that, you need to get the flywheel modified. Just so you know!

where and when is alpine blue?

    hi andrew
    yes using orinonal ignition.
what advantages does the Nodiz do?
always intrested in making things better.
could you get my flywheel modified?

@Adeyspec@Adeyspec is the guy that can get thr flywheel modified. Basically, the original flywheel has two gaps 180 degrees apart, which means you can't identify top dead centre. The mod involves fitting a tooth in place of a gap. The advantages of the Nodiz or similar is it removes the need for a distributor and allows more precise control of the ignition timing. It is also fully mappable so you can increase the advance off boost which will make the car feel loads quicker.

That's the theory, my car is awaiting the flywheel mod too, so I can't guarantee it in practice!

    HI Andrew Happy New Year.
Can you keep us all well posted on the Nodiz,
as you know I have the GD turbo and The Le CAr 2 turbo,
both of them would benefit from the mod.
What are the modification diffrences betweenthe 2 cars if any?

    Hi David,
The Le Car 2 Turbo has a knock sensor, whereas the Gordini has a timed ignition retarder that is triggered by a switch activated on the carburettor - it activates at some throttle setting (I forget) to retard the ignition under heavy throttle application in an attempt to stop knock from happening.
The Le Car 2 Turbo Renix unit has a rev limiter (Gordini does not).
The Nodiz has temperature and boost sensing so you can adjust it to sensible values for ignition advance to stop knock happening but you will need to listen for it and adjust the map. It doesn't have a knock sensor. In my experience it's pretty easy to hear knock.

I'm still pretty sure it's electric blue but wouldn't want to get my life on it. Electric blue was the only blue that Gordinis were ever painted. The only other potential colour is sports blue, as per the GT Turbo Raider. Please take a look at the Raider colour and see if you want that.

A Gordini would look cool in sports blue but it's definitely not original. @read6737@read6737, do you have the paint code for your blue Gordini?

I think the attached photo looks darker than electric blue might otherwise because of the lighting.

    Anyone else like to comment?
