nope, all that got taken apart, I have the cam and rods, Dave has the clutch and Lee has the pistons and liners.

Yeah I bought the whole car, after the cambelt broke. I took the engine out and gave the shell to @Craig Righton@Craig Righton , @la21t@la21t had the liners and pistons, @Andyquadra@Andyquadra had the steel rods and billet catcams cam & pulley, I still have the bare block, someone (I can't remember who) had the bare head without valves. Oh and @r5gordini@r5gordini has bought the Turbo after I rebuilt it for a leaky rear oil seal.

Don't know who that seller is.

That seller is Dale, he owns/owned H464 GLA the tungsten grey quadra that Tony Smith owned some years ago.

He also owned a tungsten ph1 which is in the ebay photos. Hes been selling up for a while now and was previously a 21toc member.

Did he sell the AirCon Quadra?

Not sure, he didn't want much for it. I'm certain that I mentioned it being for sale on here.

Is that a reasonable price for a 21t lump?

    I'm tempted to sell mine!

Personally, I wouldn't touch it. Under the rocker cover looks very clean, but the rest of the engine looks like its been sitting outside for a long time. Look at the exhaust manifold, there's green on it, the block's gone white and the belts look old.

I wasn't gonna buy that one, just sell mine!

I rather fancy a 1UZFE in the back of my Alpine :grin.gif:

    bit heavy?

Same weight as the Reno V6 but makes way more power.

still to heavy, 300bhp and 350ftlb isn't hard to get from the 21 turbo lump these days

So the Reno V6 is too heavy?

300hp is straight out of the box. With decent manifolds and an ecu it'll make more.
With boost it'll make 800hp on std internals.

My understanding is that the 21t lump can only make 245 before getting into expensive mods.

How much does it weigh? and which v6 we talking about?

The Lexus lump weighs 175kg, about the same as the PVR lump.
In addition it revs and sounds like a race engine.

Not as easy to fit, and more expensive to buy and get working but if you can be arsed doing it then by all means! The biggest plus of the 21 conversion would be weight saving, not just in the actual weight but in the position of the weight saved too. Much in the way i'd love to see how a Clio V6 handled with a far lighter, charged F4R lump for example.

As for 21 Turbo engines, well, £500 is a lot looking at the pictures. I could fresh build one to that spec, for that money, pretty much (at cost obviously). Its a standard engine with a recut OE cam, because thats all Piper do, if you want billet then its catcams only and they are north of £500 for the cam alone. On the flipside one with a some fancy internals and ancilliaries, dyno time only, with a proven (high) power output from a trusted source just sold for 2 large....and that was a steal. If you wanted to come and buy my 12 valve conversion i'd want to see you part with £4-5,000 (like that would ever happen but it owes me something like £8-9,000).

    It's all relative :)
